As the title says, I finally took the time to make another blog post. It's been a while since the last time i did this, but this time i got a lot to tell about.
First of I would like to tell a bit about last weekend. I spend it in Kolding (danish city), where a 24 hour sim racing event was held. I've only participated in this event one time before, and that was as pit crew. This year I had the great experience to do this as a driver, and it was amazing! We started the race at 15:00 (3 pm) at Saturday and finished at 14:00 (2 pm) at Sunday due to the Danish summertime. I qualified our car as fourth i think, but that didn't really matter much to us. After a great first stint by one of my fellow drivers, we had some problems in the pit, but afterwards, he drove another great stint. When the time came for a driver shit, my other fellow driver took over the car, but had some problems which cost us a lot of time, and after that, we ended up being #7. Then it was my turn, I raced for 3 stints I think, and it was fun. After doing this I went to bed to get some sleep, and at the start of the night i took over the car again, and drove 5 stints in the night, which is nearly 3 hours. I jumped out of the car when it was in 5th place. After only 2.5 hours of sleep, i got woken up, and was told to be prepared to take over the car, and I did. At that time we had raced it to a 3th place, and we held that for the rest of the race! It was a really fun weekend, and surely one which will not be forgotten.
What have I been doing else than racing? Before last weekend, not much else than racing, uni, work and sleep, and this week have been a hard week to go through as I have felt kinda tired the whole week. In the university we have started programming some of our project, which is fun. We are trying to make a cooperative jukebox, where a lot of devices (eg. smart phones, laptops, tablets etc.) can stream music from the device, and to an audio player. I think it's really interesting how we can make computers communicate to each others and so on.
